This wonderful trekking is around the Alpamayo mountain (considered the most beautiful mountain on the world in the scenic photography contest of Munich 1966). This circuit is designed for those who have already had previous experiences in hiking.
A correct acclimatization is important to make this beautiful and long trek that joins two important circuits that cross Los Cedros valley.

During the trekking we will cross many blue-turquoise andean lakes and several steps over the 4,700 m. where we will have amazing and inspiring views of the mountains such as Huascarán, Santa Cruz, Taulliraju and Chacraraju.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Huaraz (3.100 m.) – Hualcayan (3.140 m) - Huishcash (4.200 m.)
Transfer by private transport to the town of Hualcayan, from where we will start the hike ascending in a zigzag along a bridle path to our first Huishcash campsite.

» Camping: Huishcash (4200m)

Day 02: Huishcash – Ruinapampa (4400 m)
This day do not expect two very important steps the Osoruri pass (4860 m.) And the Vientunan pass (4770 m) but before we will have a beautiful view of the Azulcocha lake and Yanacocha then we will pass by the edge of the Cullicocha lake (4620 m ).

» Walking Time: 5 a 6 hours approx.
» Camping: Ruinapampa (4400 m)

Day 03: Ruinapampa – Jancarurish (3800 m)
This day the hike will be through the Cedros valley and in the direction of the Alpamayo stream from the count we will have the most impressive view of the northwest face of Alpamayo (5947 m).

» Walking Time: 4 a 5 hours approx.
» Camping: Jancarurish (3800 m)

Day 04: Jancarurish – Mirador Alpamayo (4450 m) – Jancarurish
Rest Day: Optional we can do a small hike of 3 hours approx. near the Jancarurish lake to see the pyramidal figure of Alpamayo (5,947 m.) from this place was taken the photo with which the Alpamayo is considered the "Most beautiful mountain in the world"

Day 05: Jancarurish – Huillca (4000 m)
This day we go in direction of Huillca, crossing the Gara Gara pass (4830 m) and then the Mesapampa pass (4500 m).

» Walking Time: 5 a 6 hours approx.
» Camping: valle de Huillca (4300 m)

Day 06: Huillca – Jancapampa (3600 m)
We leave Huillca in direction of Jancapampa through the Yana Queñua valley this day we will cross the Yanacón pass (4,600 m.)

» Walking Time: 5 a 6 hours approx.
» Camping: Jancapampa (3600 m)

Day 07: Quebrada Jancapampa – Quishuar (3800 m)
This day we will walk towards the village of Pishgopampa (3600 m) then ascend the Tingopampa valley towards the Tupa-tupa pass (4400 m), during our descent we will appreciate the Huecrucocha lake.

» Walking Time: 4 a 5 hours approx.
» Camping: Quishuar (3800 m)

Day 08: Quishuar – Tuctu (4200 m)
We leave from the campsite towards the high pass of Pucaraju (4650 m) from this point we can see the highest mountains of the Cordillera Blanca such as Huascarán, Chopicalqui, Chacraraju and also very close to Taulliraju (5830 m).

» Walking Time: 5 a 6 hours approx.
» Camping: Tuctu (4200 m)

Day 09: Tuctu – Vaquería (3 800 m)
This last day we will walk an approx. from 7 km through the valley of Huaripampa the hike will be always surrounded by forests of Quenual trees and traditional villages until arriving at Vaquería where our transportation awaits us for the transfer to Huaraz.

» Walking Time: 4 a 5 hours approx.
